Wrapping up Restorative Justice Week 2014

We came up with challenges most every day of this very unusual week – events canceled left and right because of the snow. So, lots of time to think and read and talk and watch – about the implications of this, a quote from pg. 64 of “Locked Down, Locked Out” by Maya Schenwar: What about prisoners coming to “know” the harm that they’ve inflicted on others (if they have indeed inflicted harm), coming to the realizations that’ll help them avoid those actions in the future? It’s a tough prospect in prison….. “Those committing crimes over and over ….have not dealt with the void in their lives that leads to the act itself…..
