Church of the Servant’s Prisoners in Christ (PinC) team invites you to coffee and conversation on Monday, Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. at Church of the Servant  before attending the Calvin College January Series presentation by Shane Claiborne of “The Simple Way.”  Heather Beaudoin, a national organizer with Equal Justice USA, will join us to discuss Shane’s book Executing Grace and Michigan’s “death penalty.”  Please RSVP before Thursday, Jan. 4, by emailing info@prisonersinchrist.org or by calling Carol Rienstra at 616-724-6772. There is no fee, but donations are encouraged.

You are also invited to Locked in Solidarity – a Christian Community Development Association and Network for Real Change  event to “remember those in prison as if you were together with them.” (Hebrews 13:3) Beginning Saturday, February 3, 8 p.m. and ending 1 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, at the Calvin Theological Seminary, there will be presentations, relationship-building experiences, refreshments, and midnight prayer and worship.
