Did you know that for the past ten years, the COS Prisoners in Christ Team has sponsored a weekly Life Change Book Club at the Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan?
On April 22, 2023, from 9 am – 3 pm you have the opportunity to attend the West Michigan Restorative Justice Conference at the Cathedral Square Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The conference is conceived and organized by men incarcerated at the Handlon facility, including some of our ‘inside’ book club members.
This year’s conference is titled: “Radical Mission: Inspiring collaborative action through restorative culture.”
The free event is hosted by Prison & Jail Ministry – Diocese of Grand Rapids and the Calvin Prison Initiative. The conference will feature keynote presenter James Wahlberg, filmmaker and author of “The Big Hustle: A Boston Street Kid’s Story of Addiction and Redemption.”
