The third annual Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) national “Locked In Solidarity prayer vigil of lament, hope and stories as we seek the Lord regarding a Christian response to Mass Incarceration” takes place on Thursday, February 11. In the Grand Rapids area there are three events to which the public is invited. 1. A Prayer Breakfast from 8-9 a.m. at Elizabeth’s Kitchen, 244 28th St. S.W. Sponsored by Church of the Servant Prisoners in Christ. Reservations required – call 616.724.6772. #2. A Prayer Vigil from 1-2 p.m. at Oakdale Park Christian Reformed Church, 961 Temple St. S.E. Sponsored by the Micah Center Beyond Prisons Advocacy Group. No reservations required. #3. A Prayer Walk from 6:00-6:30 p.m. around downtown Grand Rapids.
