Her Name is STAR.
SHE WAS BORN 7/6/12.
SHE ARRIVED AT LAKELAND CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (The Greyhound Inmate Experience) at 8:00am THURSDAY.
SHE IS BEAUTIFUL. PHOTOS WILL BE POSTED AT tgie.adoptagreyhound.org and tgie-greyhounds.org NEXT FRIDAY 9/26/14.
Today was a long day. Up at 5:30am. clean up in preparation of the dog exchange. I was in teh dog pen by 7:00am raking the sand to level it out. Changing the waste buckets. 7:30am setting up the intake station in the day room. 8:00am GOOD BYE TO WAYLAN!!! 🙁 8:30am Hello Star! 8:30-9:30am bathroom break, remove tics and fleas, check for health concerns, flea bath… rest-relax and look STAR over. She is high energy, just like a hollywood DIVA 😉
The rest of the day was full of close supervision to learn her personality, a couple long walks, and finally, one last break and I’ll be able to take a shower and call it a day.
I might recommend STAR for adoption. She’s a beautiful dog and she’ll be well trained by the time we get done with her in 10 weeks. If you know anyone who might be interested in a GREY, let me know.
