Evidence of God at Work Around Us

This week is wrapping up with a Prisoners in Christ meeting at COS, 30 students from Grand Haven High School coming to visit and talk with formerly incarcerated Proud Fathers, and tomorrow’s meeting of Citizens for Prison Reform in Lansing.
It started out with a Bach program in the Calvin Chapel, followed by 3 “visitations” during the week: a note from my sister Gloria that included prayer cards reminders to pray boldly for Troy’s release from prison, breakfast on Tuesday with our sister-in-laws Marty and Jeanne, both of whom committed to spread the word about writing to, praying with Troy. Marty took a copy of Citizenship Academy proposal, and reminded us the of Unity principle: do not let negative thoughts enter your mind!
On Wednesday, George’s friend Lynn sent several long e-mails with plenty of suggestions about how to prepare for the parole interview, and what approach to focus on; Thursday’s pre-RJ meeting with Brady Middleton was a litany of miraculous connections – meetings with reps from the MDOC to suggestions for funding a study of restorative and reentry resources that the Henry Institute is proposing.
And to cap it off, the director of the Henry Institute sent a letter of acknowledgement to Troy about his Citizenship Academy idea, and how he is looking forward to working together someday.
